Uses of an essential oil nebulizer

Essential oil nebulizers are devices designed for aromatherapy, which is therapy by scent. They operate on the principle of cold diffusion, which breaks down the essential oil into micro-particles under high air pressure. Cold diffusion is a process in which nebulizing components convert the essential oil into a delicate mist. The sprayed oil mixes very well with air particles and spreads the scent over large areas, even up to 30 square meters. Wschód brand nebulizers are made of wood and glass to be neutral for essential oils and not to react chemically with them.

How to clean an essential oil nebulizer?

The nebulizer should be cleaned regularly, ideally after each use or when the device has not been used for several days. Dried oil residues can hinder its operation and damage the nebulizing components. The most important thing we can do to keep the nebulizer in good condition for a long time is to properly care for and maintain it.

Step-by-step guide to cleaning a nebulizer

1. To clean the device, pour high-percentage medical alcohol into it and then gently move the glass part for a few minutes to remove any essential oil residues from the vessel walls.

2. Then turn on the nebulizer for about 3-5 minutes. This will help to clean the internal nebulizing components.

3. After this time, turn off the nebulizer and pour the liquid from the glass part of the device and leave it open until it dries naturally.

4. If there are still visible oil residues on the walls after cleaning with medical alcohol, you can additionally put the glass part in hot water at a temperature of 60-100℃ with a neutral detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, and leave it to soak for a few hours. Then rinse the glass part of the device thoroughly and leave it to dry.

5. If there are noticeable dirt particles in the nebulizing nozzle, you can directly drop medical alcohol onto it using the pipette attached to the nebulizer, and then start the device. If there is no delicate mist visible, you can very gently press the two parts of the nozzle together with the pipette until the mist appears (see diagram below).
