ASP ORIGINAL Classic semi-permanent ear acupuncture needles are made of surgical stainless steel, nickel-free and pyrogen-free.

Each needle is placed in a plastic applicator. Through the applicator, the needle can be precisely placed on a selected point of the ear. The base of an applicator has a built-in magnet, which can be used for stimulating a point after a needle is inserted.

The ear needles are sterile, hermetically sealed and intended for single use.

ASP ORIGINAL Classic semi-permanent ear acupuncture needles are designed and manufactured  by Sedatelec in France. Sedatelec was founded in 1978 and developed the first semi-permanent ear needle in cooperation with Dr. Paul Nogier, the creator of auriculotherapy.

What is auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is a treatment method that stimulates specific points on the ear to trigger the body's immune response. Auriculotherapy was invented in 1950s by Dr. Paul Nogier who was a French physician. The therapy is based on reflexology. The stimulated points that are different from traditional acupuncture points are called Nogier points. Since 1990s, auriculotherapy has been recognised by the World Health Organisation.

How to use the product?

Before inserting a needle, the narrow part (with the needle) of the applicator should be positioned on a selected point of the ear. The applicator should be pressed against the skin, and then the needle will be inserted into the skin. For a long-term stimulation, the needle can be protected with an adhesive plaster. The plaster will hide the needle and prevent it from falling out. The magnet in the base of the applicator can be put in front of the inserted needle for stimulating the point. For easier handling of the magnet, the narrow part of the applicator can be turned upside down and transformed into a comfortable grip.
