Luo Pan is a traditional compass used in Feng Shui. In Feng Shui philosophy, the way or position in which we orient objects has an influence on the energy we live with.
The compass consists of concentric rings from which you can read the relationships between trigrams, orientations, directions, mountains and astrological data, i.e. constellations, celestial trunks, earthly branches and other concepts used in the art of Feng Shui.
In the center of the compass there is a main compass that defines the directions of the world. The marked tip of the needle points the south instead of the north, because in the art of Feng Shui the reference point is precisely the south.
