The TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) device Yuwell SDP-330 is designed for pain relief and muscle strengthening and development (e.g., as a complement to rehabilitation after injuries). Additionally, TENS stimulation can be used for relaxation massage by applying low-frequency impulses. It features 8 operation modes and 9 intensity levels.

The device is suitable not only for professional medical settings such as hospitals, clinics, or care facilities but also works well in home conditions. Due to its compact size, it is ideal as a portable device, for example, at sports camps.

The device has one output channel and comes with a set of two electrodes, sufficient for 300 treatments. Additionally, the package includes a charger with a micro-USB cable, a set of connecting cables, and an instruction manual. The built-in battery eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements.

The device should be used according to its intended purpose, by individuals with appropriate medical or therapeutic training and above 18 years of age.

TENS Current - Operating Principle

Applying TENS currents, i.e., low-frequency electrical impulses, does not eliminate the cause of pain but effectively blocks the transmission of pain signals to the brain. Through electrodes attached to the skin, electrical current is delivered to the body, which, depending on the selected setting, can stimulate endorphin release or block the pain signal in the nervous system using the phenomenon of the "pain gate."

The concept of the "pain gate" can be explained as the anticipation of a pain signal by an electrical signal from sensory receptors. This occupies the brain with processing the sensory signal, preventing the stimulation of the central nervous system. The "pain gate" phenomenon is fundamental to physiotherapeutic treatments for pain relief.

Contraindications

Use of the product is prohibited in individuals:

• with implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers) and connected to life support devices (e.g., artificial lung-heart) or measuring devices (e.g., electrocardiogram),
• during pregnancy,
• without contact with the environment,
• suffering from infectious diseases, malignant tumors, heart diseases, etc.,
• with ulcers, scratches, fresh scars, or skin irritations.

While special caution should be exercised by individuals:

• with a temperature above 38 degrees Celsius,
• with disorders of the heart, circulatory system, or central nervous system, or abnormal blood glucose levels.
