SEIRIN Intradermal Acupuncture Needles - Transverse Type
SEIRIN transverse-type intradermal acupuncture needles are made of high-quality surgical stainless steel.
Feature of transverse type
Both of press needles and transverse-type needles belong to intradermal acupuncture needles which can be kept on the skin for a long time. The difference is that, a press needle is inserted vertically into the skin, but a transverse-type needle is inserted transversely into the skin.
Safety & hygiene
SEIRIN transverse-type intradermal acupuncture needles are sterile, hermetically sealed and intended for single use. The needles are ultrasonically cleaned to remove all traces of grease and microscopic particles. They are then sterilised with ethylene oxide. Full automation of the packaging process avoids potential contamination. Acupuncture needles are not lubricated.
Dimensions
SEIRIN transverse-type intradermal acupuncture needles are available in the following dimensions (diameter x length):

Manufacture & certificates
SEIRIN acupuncture products are made by SEIRIN Corporation in Japan. Since late 1970s, the company has been devoted to the development of disposable acupuncture needles. In 1980, SEIRIN Corporation released the first single use disposable acupuncture needle in the world.
SEIRIN acupuncture products have passed the CE quality certification.
Use of transverse-type intradermal acupuncture needles
Transverse-type intradermal acupuncture needles are not only used for auriculotherapy invented by Paul Nogier in 1950s, but also used for the therapy of transverse acupuncture based on the theory of the meridian system in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
