A wooden container that helps to apply thermopuncture with Moxa Rolls. Contains a special mesh inside that protects the body from hot ash. The set also includes elastic strap which makes it much easier to place the box in a given point.

There are two holes in the lid for 2 moxa rolls. The lid is closed with magnets, therefore it stays in place perfectly and is very easy to remove.

Metal holders at the top are perfect to hold moxa rolls and adjust its height above the treated area.

When is Moxatherapy applied?

Moxatherapy, also known as moxibustion or thermopuncture, is a traditional Chinese medicine procedure that involves heating acupuncture points with the help of burning moxa. Heating the points in a specific way is designed to stimulate the flow of Qi vital energy in the meridians: unblocking its stagnation, dispersing excesses or harmonizing disturbances. Moxatherapy is sometimes used as a supplement to acupuncture, but it can also be successfully used separately.

How to use Moxa Box?

The moxa box is placed on the selected acupuncture point. It can be attached using the adjustable length strap included in the kit. After placing the box on the selected point, a lit moxa roll is inserted through the holes in a lid of the box. The holders hold the burning moxa and the metal mesh protects the patient against possible burns. By using a moxa box for the thermopuncture treatment, you can simultaneously work on several different acupuncture points.
