Effects of Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense essential oil derived from the resin of Boswellia serrata or Boswellia carteri trees has disinfecting and healing properties. It is also recommended for use in upper respiratory tract conditions and in cases of asthma. It uplifts the mood and helps reduce stress and anxiety. When applied to the skin, it alleviates pain and soothes inflammatory conditions. Frankincense oil belongs to the group of stable essential oils, which means that when stored properly in a cool, dry, and dark place, it can retain its properties for a long time.

Scent of Frankincense Oil

Frankincense oil is characterized by an intense, resinous yet warm and soothing scent. It blends well with citrus oils like bergamot or orange, as well as with spicy and some floral oils.

Using Essential Oils

The essential oil is suitable for inhalation. Using oil warmers is not recommended, but it works well in nebulizers or diffusers (5-10 drops). The oil can be used in a relaxing bath (do not directly add the oil to the water; instead, mix 5-10 drops of essential oil with 15 ml of carrier oil). The oil can be used for massage (do not apply the oil directly to the skin; instead, mix 2-6 drops of essential oil with 15 ml of carrier oil).

Note: The product should not be used by pregnant women and during breastfeeding. The product should not be used by children and should also be kept out of their reach. Protect the product from sunlight.
