Essential oil of sage leaves (Salvia officinalis), also known as Dalmatian sage. The oil with an intense, herbal scent is distinguished by a high content of thujone (20-40%), therefore it must be used in low concentrations. The plants used to produce the oil come from crops in Croatia.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, essential oils were used in periods of exposure to colds, runny nose or flu, i.e. at the turn of winter and autumn, as well as in the case of migraine headaches, sinus rhinitis and to stimulate energy.

Sage is a plant very popular in the field of oral care. It has disinfecting and anti-caries properties, and additionally soothes inflammation of the mouth, gums and throat. In combination with the antimicrobial effect, sage oil can also be used on areas of the skin affected by infections or mycosis.
Additionally, sage oil stimulates the intestines, accelerates digestion and stimulates the secretion of digestive juices. It can also have a laxative effect. It has a diastolic effect, so it is worth using it in the case of muscle and joint pain as well as menstrual pains. Limits skin sweating.
It soothes nervous tension, relaxes and helps reduce headaches. Additionally, it strengthens memory and sharpens concentration.
Sage oil is best used in glass nebulizers and ultrasonic diffusers. Perfectly disinfects and refreshes the air. Use the product diluted, for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, inner ear and sensitive areas.
For applications involving skin contact, the oil should be used in high dilution as it may irritate the mucosa.
